Luke - 11 months - Hair Cut!

I missed Luke's 11 month update here on the blog, because the 17th was right during the height of our family's battle with the stomach flu. So a little late is better than never!

At 11 months Luke
-- is 30 inches long
-- weighs 24 pounds
-- had his first MRI
(doc said he thought Luke had a big head and wanted him check. It turned out fine, thank Heaven!)
-- talks and babbles like crazy
-- started throwing fits.. terrible two's are on their way already, lol!
-- loves Estefan so much and tries to save him when he and dad wrestle
-- follows Mark around everywhere
-- is still Allie's baby doll

and

-- got his first hair cut!

Look at all that hair!!!

Before and After!

We think he looks pretty dang handsome!

Love you Lukerman!
Can't believe 1 year is just around the corner!!

Allie turns SIX!

My baby girl is six!!

Yesterday was her birthday and she woke up bright and happy saying,
"Its MY birthDAY!!"

I can't believe that we've been blessed with such a little sweetheart. We love her more than words!

I let her open one present that morning, so she could start her "Jessie Birthday" off right.

Then it was a special birthday breakfast made by her wonderful daddy and lunch at the ice cream store (Inside Scoop)!!

Allie told me months ago, I think back in July when I was making Estefan's birthday cake, that she wanted a Jessie cake for her birthday this year. So I did my best!

With the help of my mom and sisters we pumped this out in an hour!

Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday dear Allie, Happy birthday to you!!

Allie got a special hand made gift from her daddy...

a jewelry box!

She loved it! And dad got a big hug for thanks!!

Then she dug in and opened all her other birthday gifts. She got lots of fun stuff and was spoiled despite having a birthday the day after Christmas!

Thank you to all our family for being so loving and spoiling my beautiful sunshine and making her day wonderful!

Allie we love you so much, Happy Birthday!!!

Christmas Nelson Style

Christmas Eve was a Nelson year. We spent the evening with Dustin's sisters, parents and the Jensen's.. but for some reason we didn't get any pictures taken! I'll have to steal some from Jack, Jill or Kristi (please?!) We had a progressive dinner starting at Jack and Gaye's with some yummy salads and Christmas songs. Then we moved to the Dalley's were the main course was served and the kids ran around like crazy and played outside in the freezing cold. To end the night we came to our house and decorated cookies and visited. We had fun but missed the Greig kids so much! Hope they get feeling better soon.

After the party died down and everybody went home we opened our Christmas Eve presents.

Pajamas of course!

Then we finished The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, read the Christmas story from the Bible and The Night Before Christmas and it was off to bed to wait for Santa!

Santa brought Estefan and Allie new bikes and Mark and Luke got an excavator.

I still hadn't finished Luke's Christmas sock by Christmas Eve (bad mom, bad mom..eh).. so I stayed up and visited with Santa and got it done so he could fill it with goodies.
It turned out pretty good I think!

The big kids opened all their presents and Luke played in the paper and stole candy from stockings.

After all the presents were opened and a big breakfast at Grandpa Glen and Grandma Shirley's house, the kids put on their new Christmas duds and we went to Church.

It was so fun to go to church on Christmas day! I don't remember having Christmas on a Sunday since I was really young. I loved listening to the choir and hearing the wonderful talks (including Grandpa Glen) and feeling the sweet Christmas spirit all around.

I hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas!! Now Happy New Year!

The best way to spread Christmas cheer...

is singing loud for all to hear!

Last week, before the stomach flu took over my house, we went to St. George to play tunes for Grandpa Bill and the old folks.

After, we went to the temple to see the lights and nativity. It was freezing!

It was still early after we visited the temple, so we decided to head over to Tuacahn to watch the live nativity and see Santa.
The kids loved this train!

It was sooooooo cold! I repeat, so COLD!
But the kids and all were good sports and we had a great time.
