Allie is SEVEN!

I'm making a goal for 2013.

Instead of editing and uploading a bunch of photos and posting them on our blog, I'm going to edit the photos and create a layout and then post the scrapbook page to the blog.

Since I don't want to do a blog book and a scrapbook.. My thinking is by the end of the year I'll be ready to publish our family album, instead of posting here and then having nothing to show for it.

With that being said... I'm trying to start now!!
So, I scrapped one of my first pages for 2012 {I'm soooooo behind} of Allie's birthday.

My baby girl turned seven yesterday!

She requested a "My Little Pony" party and cake. I did my best, but I was a little burned out with Christmas. It was nothing fancy, but she loved it!
Dustin made her a beautiful wood rocking horse, I made her a My Little Pony felt play mat and she received lots of crafts, toys and even some money for other family members!

Sitting at the Inside Scoop yesterday for her lunch date, I loved watching her. Dunking her chicken strips and fries in ranch and visiting like a little lady. She's growing up so fast and I'm loving it. I love her sweet little attitude and her willingness to help and serve others. I'm proud of how hard she tries on her school work and how she just wants to make her dad and me happy.

Love you Allie girl!!

Johnny 6 Months | That face!

Yesterday was Johnny's half birthday!!
Yup, my little man is 6 months old.
I love this face he always makes. Almost a smile and kinda mischievous!

We had a photo shoot planned for today, but we had to take a raincheck. I love the rain. Especially desert rain. But it sure does wonders for the corral. Its a mud bog around here. And since I was planning on have his pictures taken on the hay stack, that isn't going to happen today!

Since I haven't posted anything on the ol' blog since last month... Johnny's 5 month update, to be exact... we improvised and I took him out on the porch and snapped a quick pic for this month's update.

At 6 months Johnny
:: sits up for about two seconds and then topples over.

:: is still nursing! But is getting a little aggressive.

:: loves solid food.

:: finally settled into a sleep schedule.
He takes two long naps during the day and sometimes a short one in the evening.
And he's sleep for longer stretches at night.
Most nights he goes to sleep at about 8:30, then he'll get up around 4am to eat and then go back to sleep til 7.

:: scoots and rolls and pivots around the house.
He's becoming a little mover. Not quite crawling yet though!

Sure love this little guy! Happy half birthday little feller!!

5 Months!

I was talking to my aunt the other day and she asked me how old Johnny was and I said, "Oh he's almost five months." Then we got talking about Johnny's birthday and how it is close to my Grandpa Glen's, on June 13th, to which she responded,
"Well today is the 13th!"
I hadn't even realized that it had been five months!!

It seams so surreal that my little feller is 5 months old! Where did the Summer go??!

At five months Johnny
::loves to use his hands and tries to grab everything!
::has totally regressed in the sleeping through the night thing.. he's up at least three times.
Thus, the bags under my eyes.
::rolls over
::babbles
::loves toys and chewing on everything
::kind of gave up on solid foods... but still nursing great! We'll try more solids next month.

I joke and say that my boys are little clones of each other, but they do look a lot alike!
Here is Luke at 5 months.
Now if Johnny would sleep like Luke as much as he looks like him we'd be in good shape! ;)

Halloween Part 3 | Costumes and Trick or Treating

This year we made costumes with things we had around the house. It was fun and cheap! Photobucket
I hot glued some scraps of zebra fabric and sequins to one of Estefan's old church shirts and that become Allie's costume. She already had all the princess accessories.

Photobucket
Mark wore what he wears everyday... with the addition of one of my belt buckles from my steer showing days.

For Luke I cut up a pair of Mark's old pants and those became his clown bottoms. I used some bandanas and felt to finish off his look.

PhotobucketJohnny's hat came from the talented lady who has been taking his photos every couple months.
