Day Trip - Whitney Pockets

A week or so ago the forecast for the day was rain, rain and more rain.

Instead of sitting inside and watching it out the windows we went to Whitney Pockets and played in it and watched it from inside the truck.

It was a beautiful, rainy day in the desert.

Campin in Meadow Valley

Since the kids were all sick the weekend before school started we weren't able to go on our annual before school camping trip.

When Labor Day weekend rolled around we packed up our beast,
Big Foot and headed for the hills.
Photobucket
We camped near the train tracks in Meadow Valley wash.
Its was still pretty warm around then so we thought being by the river would help cool us off.

Photobucket
The kids love playing in the trailer.

Photobucket
Ha ha.. I didn't tell them the window would open wider.
Watching them all try to stick their heads out that small opening was pretty entertaining.

Dad and Luker Boy.

Photobucket
Oh its a good thing Luke is cute, because he didn't sleep at all that night!!

PhotobucketWe had a great time!
Daddy made us a yummy dinner...

Photobucket
and we put money on the train tracks!

Photobucket
There were amazing thunderstorms..

Photobucket
and plenty of dirty things to chew on.

Jumpin' Jacks

Back in August, we went to Jumping Jacks for Isaac's birthday! Wendy and Raegan and all the kids came too! It was a blast. :)
Photobucket
"Whoa! That was scary but I liked it!"

Photobucket
Allie loved the huge slide,

Photobucket
she went on it about 1,000 times!

Photobucket
Mark said he was gonna ride this bull. Bull -- dragon, same thing to a three year old!

Photobucket
Allie made a new friend -- a freaky looking princess.

Photobucket
The floor of Jumping Jack's was covered in foam puzzle pieces. Part of them were coming up from all the traffic.. so my little handy man went to work and fixed them!

Photobucket
Allie having a good ol' time

Photobucket
Oh yeah and Luke was there too!

My big cowboy

Photobucket
There were lots of other fun things to do besides jump. They road the Merry-Go-Round and play on the arcade games.

Photobucket
Allie got a princess ring from the vending machine. When Mark tried to get a Toy Story bouncy ball it ate his quarter.. oh man, not a happy cowboy!

Photobucket
And the mandatory sock photo!

It was a good time had by all!!!

A First for Mark

Well, we made it through the first week of Elementary school. Allie had a very rough first day. She was nervous and it was a really hot day. I think she got over heated.. long story short she puked in class and stayed home on the second day. The third day was better and so was the rest of the week. When we called Estefan he said he was glad to be able to see his friends again and that he, and I quote, "I didn't even get into trouble!" Ha ha. Funny kid.

Now today we're excited for another first day... Mark's first day of preschool!
He didn't really get why I wanted to take his pictures.
He said, "Mom, big cowboys don't take pictures. And they don't go to preschool."
Photobucket

But Allie showed him how it was done.

After a couple snaps he started to get into it.
He said, "Mom take my picture wif Wookie."
(Luke has bed head.. tee hee!)
Photobucket

When I told him we were going to pick up James and that preschool was at Knox's house he was all smiles.
Now that's my Big Cowboy.

Good thing there aren't any girls in his preschool class.
I think he'd break their hearts, cuz he's Momma's boy. ;)

Mark and James ready for school!

Now lets see.. the big kids are at Elementary school, the Big Cowboy is at preschool and Luker boy is sleeping.

What's a Momma to do with two hours to herself?

Whatever she wants!!! That's right.
