Great Brain Presentation

All the third graders had to do an end of the year "Great Brain Presentation." They picked a topic, researched, wrote a report and then gave an oral speech about it. Estefan choose the Titanic.
He loved learning about it and loved telling us all about the ship, how it was made, when it sank and the work they are doing on it today.
Estefan was so nervous to give the oral presentation to the class. He froze up once, but then went to his poster for help. He did great!!!
I didn't check the camera SD card before I started filming (it was mostly full of course) and the memory filled up about three quarters of the way through his speech, darn it! But you get the general idea...

Estefan you are awesome!!
I can't believe he's going to be a forth grader come Fall!

36 Weeks

How far along: 36 weeks

How big is baby: weighs almost 6 pounds (like a crenshaw melon) and is more than 18 1/2 inches long.

Sleep:
Okay as long as I have every pillow in the house. Some nightly heart burn.

Movement: Elbows in my ribs, kicks in my pelvis. I swear he is standing up and stretching.. I can feel him everywhere!

Food Cravings: Salty foods and salads.

Gender: Boy.. now to name him!!

Labor Signs: Some occasional contractions. Dilated to one but baby is still high. (Could've fooled me!!)

Belly Button In or Out: In, in, in!

What I miss: Being able to cross my legs, sleeping on my stomach.. my waist.

What I'm looking forward to: School being out and sleeping in a little bit.

Allie and Baby Room {Sneak Peek}

If you remember this post, you know that I've been working on making Allie's room gender neutral to share with our new baby boy.

While I'm still working on little details and wall decor, the bedding is done and that is a huge, huge, huge part! Here is another sneak peek at the boy/girl John Deere room.

LinkWhaddya think??

I've also been nesting.. a lot.
Cleaning my butt off and sewing as much as possible. Always with a Pepsi close by! ;)

My mom helped me bind this quilt.
Kick me if I ever mention working with satin again.. but I loooove the soft minky.
Thank you mom!! This would seriously be in the garbage without your help!

We're pretty excited to get the little dude here -- and we're almost ready for him now!!

Big Baby

We've been getting lots baby stuff out for the little Coconut's pending arrival and Luke decided that he would make sure the Jumperoo was still in working order.
Silly dude.
He's so big! I can't say he's getting big any more.. because he just is BIG!

:: Luke's new words are no and mine.
I especially love when he combines the two. "No, no, no, MINE!"
Or when he is around other toddlers and they sound like the seagulls from Finding Nemo, "mine, mine, mine!"

:: Still sleeps in his crib. Hopefully we can keep him from climbing out, unlike his older siblings.

:: Not even close to potty training. Two in diapers will be inevitable.

:: Gives high fives and knuckles (first bump) on command.

:: Loves animals. He can make cow and horse sounds and sometimes dog and cat sounds.

:: Loooooves tractors and trucks and fourwheelers... well anything with wheels. He says "vvvvvrrroooooom" and leans way back like he's going 100 miles an hour.

:: Knows and can point to his eyes, ears, nose, teeth and tummy.

I'm trying to imagine what it will be like having him and a newborn.. oh yeah and the other kids running around too! Summer is going to be quite the adventure!!

May Day Part 2

Yesterday was the annual May Day dance for the elementary school kids!
I love May Day, its such a fun tradition.
Little Miss all gussied up and ready to rock!

About half way through the Parachute dance, the kindergarteners put on their sunglasses and surprised us with another dance. It was so cute!

They had some pretty sweet moves!

Allie and her cousin/BFF Elise.
And the girls with their proud Mamas!

Park Fun with MaBoys!

After the May Day practice, me and the boys got a Bug Juice from Wally's and hit the park!

Can't wait to add another little feller to the bunch!

May Day Part 1

This morning we went to the May Day dress rehearsal at the fair grounds. Estefan won't be able to attend the actual performance so we were so glad to be able to see him today! We also got a sneak peak at Allie's dance too!

I forgot to check my camera settings and the pictures I got of Allie all turned out like this! Whooops!!
Kinda artsy I guess... ;)

Allie and the rest of the kindergarteners did the parachute dance. It was so adorable!

~~~~~~
I figured out my error before Estefan danced and phew, I got a couple good one's of him and some video too! He and the rest of the third graders did a square dance to Cotton-Eye Joe.
Bud and his wonderful teacher, Mrs. Wimer!! We love her!
May Day is always to fun. Can't wait to go again tomorrow night!
