Scrap Page Catch Up

My New Year's Resolution last year went really well! I only had a couple pages to catch up on at the beginning of this year before I was able to make our 2013 book. So of course this year I made the same resolution, but am totally slacking! I just can't get in the groove. I sit down to scrap and end up on Pinterest! Oh well.. here are some pages I'm trying to catch up on from January til now.

Back in January we celebrated Luke's birthday! He was so excited to open his presents. Crazy how he is just turning into a little man!

Also back in January, Johnny turned 18 months. He starting going to nursery, at church, and hated it! Now he loves it.. most days. But he does love playing outside and helping daddy work on stuff.

One morning in March, Mark came up to me while getting ready for school and said, "mom there is a steer head on my nose!" He scrunches his little nose up and sure enough the outline of a steer head shows up! I decided to scrap this memory and call it "Born a Cowboy" .. cows are in his DNA!

And in April we went to the fair! We love the fair! The food, the rides, the rodeo, the food.. oh wait I already said that! We had a blast!

These next two scrap pages are the more recent memories. ^^Mother's Day! Me and the kiddos :)^^

and Allie's Spring Violin recital. The recital was only two days ago, so 10 points for me for not procrastinating! Allie did great. She is loving violin and we plan to add the piano this Summer to switch things up.

Whew! Now I need to scrap Mark's birthday, May Day and lots of camping and canoeing trips!!

My Little Monsters

Design Kit: Monster Mayhem by Megan Turnidge and Tickled Pick Studio
Template: Rhapsody by Little Green Frog Designs

Mark, Luke and Johnny are wild and crazy!
They love riding their bikes in the road next to our house, playing outside and of course getting dirty!
Luke laid in the road and said take my picture!

Mark figured out how to make skid marks! He was so proud of himself.

Johnny is getting so big and tries to keep up with the big boys as best he can.

It seems like every time I look over Luke is peeing on something!
Mark always takes time out of playing to bring me a flowers.

I love my little monsters!

2013 Scrapbook!!

I know I've been completely AWOL on the blog for the past few months... er year, but that is because I've been scrapbooking!!
I made it my 2013 New Year's Resolution to scrap more and blog less. I've done really well keeping up with our pictures and now I have our family's 2013 scrapbook ready to print!

I'm printing with Adoramapix again, for the fifth time. I absolutely loooooove their books (and prints). Their photo-books lay completely flat and are printed on actual photo paper. The quality is amazing and the price isn't too bad either. Right now they are having a 40% off sale til the end of March. I'm getting my 68 page, 10x10 inch book for $90!

Feel free to click through the book (be sure to click "view larger"). But here are some of the pages from the end of last year, that I haven't shared yet! Enjoy!!

Happy birthday Luke!

Luke is two years old today!
While reading him one of his favorite stories, Ferdinand, I couldn't help notice the similarities in their growth!
Luke has definitely grown up this past year!! He talks soooo much and is such a joy. We never know what he'll do next. He loves helping on the farm and working with his dad. He is Mark's little parrot and mom's little man!

Love you Luke! Happy birthday!!

18 Months | Spaghetti!

Luke turned 18 months last week!
He weighs 28.7lbs and is 33in tall.
He can say lots of things but prefers to only say, "no" and "mine".

His newest accomplishment is feeding himself at every meal. Its messy but fun!

Sure love this kid!

Mama's little...

It happens every.single.time.
Every time, I sit down to feed Johnny, Luke finds some trouble to get into.

Today I was reminded of this yucky hands story and this one as well.

This morning, as I was feeding Johnny, Luke came in and I noticed he was wet. When I asked Allie what happened and why he was wet, her eyes teared up and she said,
"Mom, I tried to stop him... but he stuck his hand in the toilet... and... and... I just went pee in it."

Oh geez...

A little later, I was sitting on the couch feeding Johnny again, when Luke came over smiling and sucking on a bulb syringe. As I was going to snatch it away from him, he squeezed it and nearly inhaled the contents of said syringe. I grab a burp cloth and saved him (one handed, I might add) from the nastiness he was about to swallow.

Gosh kid...

Love my little trouble maker!

Luke thinks he's the baby...

Luke and John

The most common question I've been getting since John was born, is
"How's Luke handling the new baby?"

To be honest, I think he's doing great! The first night home was a little shock to his system but over all he's loving the "bebay" as he calls Johnny.

Sure, we've had a rough moment here and there. Luke wants to sit in the baby carseat, I think he thinks its his own little recliner. Then there was the time he was helping clean up the toys before bed and cleaned himself right up into the toy basket!

We're just taking this baby thing one day at a time

Most days are full of smiles...

but some days we're not sure what is going on!

But one thing we do know is that mom loves both her babies!

That and she needs a bigger chair!

Big Baby

We've been getting lots baby stuff out for the little Coconut's pending arrival and Luke decided that he would make sure the Jumperoo was still in working order.
Silly dude.
He's so big! I can't say he's getting big any more.. because he just is BIG!

:: Luke's new words are no and mine.
I especially love when he combines the two. "No, no, no, MINE!"
Or when he is around other toddlers and they sound like the seagulls from Finding Nemo, "mine, mine, mine!"

:: Still sleeps in his crib. Hopefully we can keep him from climbing out, unlike his older siblings.

:: Not even close to potty training. Two in diapers will be inevitable.

:: Gives high fives and knuckles (first bump) on command.

:: Loves animals. He can make cow and horse sounds and sometimes dog and cat sounds.

:: Loooooves tractors and trucks and fourwheelers... well anything with wheels. He says "vvvvvrrroooooom" and leans way back like he's going 100 miles an hour.

:: Knows and can point to his eyes, ears, nose, teeth and tummy.

I'm trying to imagine what it will be like having him and a newborn.. oh yeah and the other kids running around too! Summer is going to be quite the adventure!!

a little prayer for you...

Luke has been doing the sweetest thing lately! He folds his arms when we pray! I think its adorable. I don't think any of the other kids folded their arms this young. I find myself peaking at him during our prayers A LOT! I can't help it. He's so sweet!

I wanted to take a picture of him doing it, but I remembered after we had started breakfast. So here he is with a mouth full of strawberries, thinking I'm silly for making him pray again!

But then he got serious and even closed his eyes!

Amen! Back to silly again. :)

And if the pictures didn't melt your heart, here is a video too.
