Halloween Part 3 | Costumes and Trick or Treating

This year we made costumes with things we had around the house. It was fun and cheap! I hot glued some scraps of zebra fabric and sequins to one of Estefan's old church shirts and that become Allie's costume. She already had all the princess accessories.

Mark wore what he wears everyday... with the addition of one of my belt buckles from my steer showing days.

For Luke I cut up a pair of Mark's old pants and those became his clown bottoms. I used some bandanas and felt to finish off his look.
Johnny's hat came from the talented lady who has been taking his photos every couple months.

First we trick or treated at our grandparents' homes! Grandma Nana Grandma Shirley
(Grandpa Glen and Grandpa Stan were hunting and Grandpa and Grandma Nelson were at the temple.)

Then we met up with some old friends! Melissa and Max Fredrick Luke and Max are already BFF's just like their mamas and grandpas. It "generational" right Meliss?!

Then we met up with some of our cousins James and Mark -- Elise and Allie Will the Zombie and Me and Emma Lynn

After we filled our buckets with a years supply of candy, we headed back home My cute pumpkin boys! Lighting our pumpkins and.. watermelon Dustin got a picture of the pumpkins and the moon coming up. So spooky!!    Happy Halloween!!

Ten Months and Max!

Luker boy is 10 months old!

I tell ya I can't keep up with him, its like he's changing every. single. second!

At ten months he
-- has 6 teeth
-- walks, runs, climbs
-- gives big ol' wet open mouth kisses
-- sleeps all night
-- takes two naps (yay for still taking two naps!)
-- likes to sit and read, quite adorable ;)
-- runs to me with his arms out like a little zombie

++ PLUS ++

we finally got to meet MAX!
Chase and Meliss came up from Hawaii for a few weeks this November and we loved hanging out with them and finally seeing baby Max.
Luke and Max are destined to be best friends.. yeah either that or we'll make 'em. Tee hee!

Dustin and I got super lucky, our best friends married each other. Chase and Melissa are the coolest couple ever. I think Chase is secretly Will Farrell's little brother by the way.

But alas, the time has come to say good-bye, Chase's job has called him to the islands of Hawaii!!! Yes, our besties are moving to Hawaii. So sad.. I guess we'll just have to go and visit. Darn...


Call me sentimental.. or just mental, but I made them pose for some pictures. Dustin and Chase and a camera are not always a good mix but we got some good one's.. I think. Then we drank a Cream Soda to their future and said good-bye. We're starting to save our money now so we can come visit when you have your super human child. We'll miss you guys so much!! Love ya!!!
