Making Room for Baby

Yesterday we gave Allie's room a little make-over, to get ready for baby sister!
This is the baby corner. I took the old mirror that was attached to the top of the dresser and added a changing pad instead. To replace the mirror, I scoured Hobby Lobby and found the perfect one in the perfect shade of red to hang on the wall.

On either side of the mirror are Sarah Jane illustrations!

Near the changing pad is this little rocking horse Dustin made Allie a couple Christmas' ago..

along with Anna and Elsa inspired dolls from Sew Darling. Appropriate for a sister room, I think!

Up close of the Sarah Jane's. I thought the little girl reading was perfect for Allie and the Dear One print was too cute to pass up.

Allie's side of the room. Her bedspread was mine when I was young. I thought about making a new quilt but I just love the red gingham and daisies.

Above Allie's bed we have a You Are My Sunshine board from Barn Owl Primitives and more Sarah Jane prints, Wild Horse and Addie's Tea Party. The letter "A" is from Hobby Lobby and the cork board (not pictured) is just something that I had and covered in burlap.

Here we have the closet and the awkward door leading into the adjoining room.
(We may close this up eventually, we may leave it and expand the room as we have more kids or as they get bigger. We shall see...)

Jewelry and keepsakes placed up high and out of baby sister's reach!

And this is what the room typically looks like! Allie's nose in a book and Johnny terrorizing!

We can't wait for baby sister to get here. About 7 more weeks, is all!!!
